eyrise® Solar Shading is a switchable glass system driven by Licrivision® liquid crystal technology. The glass controls incoming solar heat and daylight dimming instantly, while preserving natural daylight views. An extra level of comfort is offered by automatic or on-demand control.

eyrise® is powered by licrivision® liquid crystal material for dynamic glass from Merck KGaA Darmstadt, Germany. It is a transparent liquid crystal mixture with tailored dye molecules. This mixture is applied between two glass panes coated with an invisible conductive layer. When low voltage is applied, the molecules in the mixture alter their orientation and regulate the amount of light and heat that passes through.

eyrise® offers uniform exterior and interior aesthetics of insulated glass units when they are side to side in a façade, since it is driven by voltage. A good example is the façade of AVUS Tribüne, Berlin, Germany where a large number of glass panels are combined to present a single uniform appearance.

eyrise® Solar Shading is available as rectangular or multi-faceted shapes up to 3,505 x 1,605mm (5.25 x 11.50 ft) and can be tailored to your design.
eyrise® Privacy Glazing is availble as rectangular shapes up to 2,904 x 1,508mm (59.3 x 11.4 ft)

eyrise® Solar Shading requires very little power, less than 1 W/m² (0.1 W/ft²).

Yes. You can adjust each glass pane individually according to your need: transparent/translucent for privacy glazing; or a desired level of incoming natural daylight, heat gains and glare for solar shading glass.

eyrise® windows only require the usual level of glass cleaning and do not incur any additional time or cost for maintenance.

Color-neutral transparency provides natural outdoor views and preserves the authentic color of the interior space and people, be it in dark or bright state. Yes. The glass switching can be controlled centrally through a building management system or locally via user input. The light transmittance of each glass panel can be adjusted individually and controlled through the system to an intermediate point where you feel most comfortable.

All our products are designed for a service life of 25 years. eyrise® Solar shading is guaranteed for up to 10 years. eyrise® Privacy glazing is guaranteed for up to 5 years.

eyrise® is based on a liquid crystal mixture driven by voltage. Electrochromic glass is made of layers of ceramic material driven by current. Liquid crystals enable a more neutral (non-blue) transparency, faster switching time (1 sec), greater freedom of shape and dimming. In situations requiring confidentiality or privacy, glass panels in the workspace will need to switch immediately to privacy mode. Time spent on changing the desired conditions should require minimal effort and waiting time.

Yes. In addition to the standard neutral grey tones, we offer tailored solutions. We can meet your specific color requirements, from additional neutral tones to unique color variations in order to complement your design. It is important to note that eyrise® maintains a high level of color neutrality. Read “Out of the Blue” for more information. Please note that customization requires extra time for development, increased project lead time and price.
